Rental cars are available at Kumamoto Airport.

Free parking is available at the house.

From Kumamoto Station, Take the JR Hohi Line and get off at:

【Higo-Ozu Station / Aso Station】

Pick-up is available from these stations.

Guests arriving via the Minamiaso Railway can get off at Choyo Station

✈️By Air

The nearest airport is 【Kumamoto Airport】 Travel time to the house is about 25 minutes.

Guests can arrive by our complimentary pick-up service or by rental car.

🌾Local Walking with Your Host
a slow walk around the neighborhood surrounding the house, passing through quiet village roads and farmland. Along the way, your host will share stories about the landscape of Aso, the history of Kumamoto, and everyday life in a rural village. You may also meet local neighbors along the way.

🏬Visiting a Local Market
Drive to a nearby local market where farmers sell fresh vegetables and regional specialties. If you find vegetables you like, you can use them later for the pickle-making experience. The market we visit may vary depending on the day and local conditions.

🍅Koji Pickle Experience
try making koji pickles, a traditional homemade fermented food often prepared in Japanese households. Ingredients are prepared in advance, but guests may also use vegetables purchased at the market.

・This experience is available by advance request only.
・The start time will be arranged during your stay.
・Up to 4 guests can participate. Larger groups may be possible upon request.
・In case of rain, the experience may be replaced with the Traditional Clothing Experience.
